Your first ten minutes
Open a drawing, set its scale, measure a run, and see it in your take-off. By the end you’ll have a real quantity from a real drawing.

How it works
- How a Dato Room keeps things private, and what it can’t promise
- Scale and accuracy: where a length comes from
- How a count is found, and how much to trust it
- Measured, adjusted and ordered: three different numbers
- How lengths to order are worked out
- The drawing's layers and your markup layers
- Privacy: where your files and work are kept
- Stamped, signed, closed and certified: what each one proves
Fix a Problem
Something looks wrong
- A Dato Room won’t join, or says it lost the connection
- The drawing is slow to open or to move around
- My measurements look wrong, or say “Not calibrated”
- A count is one too many, or some are missing
- “This sheet is a scan”, or fill and snap do nothing
- My work has gone
- My settings keep resetting
- Help won’t open in its own window
- The Excel workbook shows zeros, or its links don’t work

Stuck, or something looks wrong?
Start with Fix a problem. If the page you need is not here, or says something that is not true, use Feedback inside DatoMark: it tells us which page you were on, and never names your drawing.
