Find words on a drawing

Search the text on the sheet itself, and know when there is none to search.

Press Ctrl+Shift+F (Find in drawing).
Type a word or a tag, such as a drawing number or “RL01”.
The matches are highlighted on the sheet and listed; step through them.

This searches the text the PDF actually contains. A scanned drawing has no text to search, and the status bar's Drawing intelligence will say it’s a picture. Title-block OCR can read references from a selected region, but it doesn’t add a searchable text layer to the whole PDF. For whole-document search, use a PDF with an embedded OCR text layer.
