Put more than one drawing in a room

A room can hold several drawings in tabs. Marks follow the drawing they were made on, and drawings you don’t share stay yours.

A room isn’t about one drawing. The host can add more, and everyone can open them in their own tabs and move between them. Each mark belongs to the drawing it was made on, so switching tabs never loses or deletes anything for anybody.

Add a drawing (the host)

  1. Open the other drawing in a tab. A drawing that isn’t in the room is private to you, and the lobby says so.
  2. In the lobby, open the Drawings tab and choose Add it to the room.
  3. Everyone is told a drawing was added, and can open it from the Drawings tab.

A drawing within the plan's file size is put in the room as a file others can open. A bigger one is added by name: the others open their own copy of it, and it joins the room by itself as soon as it’s recognised as the same file. A room holds up to six.

Open a drawing someone added

  • Open brings it in from the room when it was added as a file.
  • Use my copy… lets you pick your own copy of the same drawing. It must be the same file, and you’re told if it isn’t.
  • Show switches to a tab you already have open.

When your copy already has marks on it

If you open a drawing that’s in the room and it already has marks of yours on it, you’re asked whether to share them or keep them private. Shared, they join the room and the room's marks appear. Private, nothing on that drawing is sent or received, and you can share it later from the Drawings tab.
