The Excel workbook shows zeros, or its links don’t work

A workbook that calculates has to be allowed to. A few settings in Excel explain nearly everything.

  • Protected View. A file from the web opens read-only with a yellow bar. Choose Enable Editing so the formulas can calculate.
  • Calculation set to manual. In Excel, Formulas › Calculation Options › Automatic.
  • Open drawing links do nothing. Type your drawings folder on the Config sheet. The link is that folder plus the drawing's file name, so the file name must match.
  • “no stock length” in the Check column. Add the flashing to Lookups.

The workbook uses only plain functions, so it should work in any Excel from 2010, in LibreOffice and in Google Sheets. If it doesn’t, send feedback and say which program you used.
