Click each item. The running total follows the cursor. Enter, or picking another tool, banks the count.

Why you would use it

For the things you order by the number rather than the metre: rooflights, brackets, downpipes, fixings.

For example

What to do

  1. Click each item.
  2. Press Enter to bank the count.

Going further

A count is ONE measurement whose quantity is the number of points in it, so a hundred rooflights are one row in your register, not a hundred.

If you already use another program

In a CAD program: Counting blocks in a selection: here you click each one, and the running total is on the screen.

In a building-model program: A schedule of how many of a type are placed: here the count is made from the drawing, with no model behind it.

In a PDF markup program: A count measurement: each click adds one to the group.
