Look It Up

Clipboard

The last few things you copied, with what’s in each and where it came from, before you paste one.

The last few things you copied, with what’s in each and where it came from, before you paste one.

Why you would use it

Pasting is the one editing step with no preview. When you have copied three things called Wall, the name is no help; what it holds and where it came from is.

For example

What to do

  1. Right-click the drawing and choose Clipboard.
  2. Choose Paste here to paste that copy, or Use this one to make Ctrl+V paste it.
  3. Forget any you don’t need.

Going further

Looking changes nothing on the drawing. Paste here is the ordinary paste, undone the same way. The list keeps the last few copies only: it’s for "I copied that ten minutes ago", not a history of everything.
