Look It Up
Arrow (Polyline)
An arrow that goes round things: click where it starts, click each bend, and finish on what it points at. The head is on the last point.
An arrow that goes round things: click where it starts, click each bend, and finish on what it points at. The head is on the last point.
Why you would use it
For pointing at something a straight arrow would cross other work to reach, such as a note in the margin and a detail in the middle of a crowded plan.
For example
What to do
- Click where the arrow starts.
- Click each bend.
- Right-click, double-click or press Enter on the thing it points at.
- Backspace removes the last point; Escape throws the arrow away.
Going further
Right-click means “that is all of it” while you’re part-way through: the points you have clicked are kept. Escape means “never mind”: nothing is kept. Hold Ctrl (Option on a Mac) to land each point beside the nearest text. Saved in a PDF as a polyline with an arrow on its end.
