Why you would use it
To put a ring round something and say “look here”. It’s the quickest way to point at an area of a sheet without making a claim about how big it is.

- Click one corner.
- Click the opposite corner, or drag from one to the other.
Going further
Markup is drawn, saved and exported with the drawing, and is never counted, grouped or priced. It doesn’t appear in the register.
If you already use another program
In a CAD program: A rectangle, drawn over the sheet rather than into it.
In a PDF markup program: A rectangle markup; with a fill it can mark out an area without measuring it.
