Revision cloud (box)

The same revision cloud, dragged as a box instead of clicked around. One gesture rather than four clicks and a double-click.

Why you would use it

Most things that change on a sheet are squarish — a detail, a bay, a panel, a note — and clicking four corners to say so is four chances to put one in the wrong place. This is the same markup, so it flips, prints, exports and appears in the Review panel exactly as the other one does.

For example

What to do

  1. Drag a box round what has changed.
  2. Right-click it to turn the scallops inward.

Going further

It makes a cloud with four corners, so it can be reshaped afterwards like any other cloud. Which side the scallops fall on doesn’t depend on which corner you started from — they go outwards whichever way you drag, and the flip is a decision rather than an accident.
