Look It Up
Trim the view
Drag the edges to choose which part of the sheet to look at. Enter keeps it, Escape puts it back.

Why you would use it
When the automatic trim gets it wrong, or when you want to work on one detail of a large sheet without the rest of it on screen.
For example
What to do
- Drag a box round the part you want to look at.
- Drag the handles to adjust it, or drag inside to move it.
- Press Enter to keep it, Escape to put the sheet back.
Going further
The whole sheet is shown while this is active even if it’s already trimmed, so you can reach the part that’s currently hidden. Nothing is applied until you finish, and nothing is written to the drawing: a crop is a narrower window onto the same page, so no measurement moves.
If you already use another program
In a CAD program: A clipped view of a reference, or a viewport window.
In a building-model program: Crop view.
In a PDF markup program: Cropping pages permanently. Here it’s only how you look at the sheet: nothing is written to the file, and the margins come back in one click.
