Why you would use it
Because a mark on a drawing rarely explains itself. A cloud says something changed; only words say what, and who decided.
For example
What to do
- Pick Text, then click where the words should start.
- Type. Press Enter for a new line.
- Click away to keep it, or press Escape to abandon it.
- Double-click a note with the Select tool to change what it says.
Going further
Nothing wraps. The lines are the ones you typed, so a note never reflows behind you and reads the same on the sheet as it does on screen. Size and colour come from the style; switch shading on in Manage styles to put a plate behind the words where the drawing underneath is busy.
If you already use another program
In a CAD program: Single-line and multi-line text.
In a building-model program: A text note.
In a PDF markup program: A text box or typewriter: click, type, and it’s a note on the sheet.
