Why you would use it
On a site the stamp is the first thing anybody looks at, because it says whether they’re allowed to build from the drawing at all.

What to do
- Pick the stamp tool.
- Choose which stamp from the rail or Settings.
- Click where it goes.
Going further
THE DATE IS WRITTEN DOWN WHEN YOU STAMP, not worked out again when the drawing is opened — otherwise every old approval would quietly re-date itself to today and a superseded sheet would look current. Stamps are sized in points ON THE SHEET, so one placed while zoomed in prints the same size as one placed while zoomed out. Your own stamps are kept on this device and are there on the next job. A stamp is a mark on a drawing, like a rubber stamp on paper: it records what somebody decided and proves nothing about who they were.
If you already use another program
In a CAD program: A block with attributes, such as a title-block status.
In a PDF markup program: A stamp: words such as APPROVED or REVISED with a date and who, placed on the sheet.
